There are 2 steps to updating your medical aid rates from within your program.

  1. Go to the list of tariff codes and click on the Import button.  This will allow you to import the Discovery and IOD rates when we have changed them. Note that not all practice types will be able to use this as we only cover the allied disciplines and do not have the Doctor's rates available.  After clicking Import, click on Web update.   Select the column you want to import - ie Discovery or IOD.  It is a good idea to select MedAid2010 even though it never changes, just to be sure you have it right.  Then click on Proceed with import (or Import in Prof version)  and the selected columns will be updated.
  2. To update the rates for the medical aids that use the Medaid2010 column you now need to go to the Medical Aid List and again click on the Import button and then on Web update.  for info on the options available refer to the Help files.  Click on Proceed with import (or Import in Prof version)  and all medaids that use the MedAid2010 column will be updated with the new %'s.  (Note that if you are using the Prof version ALL medaid % will be updated and they will be reset to the MedAid2010 column so that if you have set up special columns for specific funds you will now need to go and change theose funds back to using their own column.)
